I am an artist and illustrator.  I have written and illustrated 2 children's verse books "Where does the moon go?" and "Where did my donkey go?"  I am currently working on a commission to illustrate the words of another children's author.  I love travelling around the countryside and towns in search of the subjects I need to draw and paint.  I like to be up close and personal with my subjects.  I work from the photos I take and then add the depth, feeling and character that I gained from seeing them for real. The ten illustrations for my recent book project "Where did my donkey go?" took 3 hours of painting every day for 2 months . I work in acrylic but always happy to experiment with other mediums such as charcoal, pen and ink, crayon, pastel and watercolour.  I like to add colour, realism but also a bit of fun and that extra detail to give each illustration its owns individuality.
